Participation Fees
The Euroculture Consortium offers a Joint Master Degree programme. Euroculture students do not pay participation fees to the universities they attend, but directly to the Euroculture Consortium. A single fee rate applies to all students participating in Euroculture, regardless of the universities you choose during your studies. After making the requirement payments to the Consortium, Euroculture will arrange a transfer of funds to the universities you attend, meaning that you do not have to pay any fees in addition to the ones charged by the Consortium.
Included: Coverage of all registration fees and administrative costs at all attended universities
All registration matters, including the transferring of tuition fees to your chosen university, will be handled by the Euroculture Consortium.
Included: Full access to study facilities at all attended universities
This includes libraries, study support services, and other student benefits associated with being a student at that university.
Included: Additional support from the Consortium Secretariat
We can assist you with securing housing, finalizing your registration, and advise you on practical matters.
Included: Joint Diploma Recognition
Offered by your chosen combination of degree-awarding universities in the Euroculture Consortium. Your final degree will be expressed as either one Joint Degree or two separate certificates depending on allowances made by EU member state legislation for Joint Diploma recognition.
Included: Joint Thesis Supervision
Offered by your chosen combination of degree-awarding universities in the Euroculture Consortium. Both of them will assign you a supervisor that work jointly with you on your chosen project.
Included: The Euroculture Intensive Programme
The Euroculture Intensive Programme is included in your tuition fees. All organizational costs, activities and some meals are covered. Please note that travel to the intensive programme is not covered by these fees.
Included: Insurance
AON ICS Complete insurance is offered to all students in the programme. Health insurance offered by the Consortium is obligatory for all students with non-EU/EEA nationalities. EU/EEA nationals with sufficient insurance coverage may choose not to opt for this insurance package, reducing their overall fees. Questions regarding insurance may be directed to euroculture@rug.nl.
Not Included: Literature, Accomodation & Subsistence, Travel Costs and Field-Work Related Activities
Required literature needed during studies, accommodation at any Euroculture university, travel costs and fieldwork-related costs are NOT included in the above-mentioned participation fees. No support payments for month-to-month living are provided to non-scholarship holders.
Fee Amounts
Euroculture distinguishes between participation fees for EU/EEA nationals and non-EU/EEA nationals. The amounts are as follows.
EU/EEA passport holders:
€1575 per semester with the standard Consortium Waiver and without AON ICS Complete Insurance (€6300 for the entire programme)
€2000 per semester without the standard Consortium Waiver and without AON ICS Complete Insurance (€8000 for the entire programme)
EU/EEA nationals may opt for the AON ICS Complete Health Insurance Policy of €1000.
The Consortium Waiver reduces the overall applicable tuition fee by €1700. This waiver is applied by default for all EU/EEA students, with the exception of those applicants receiving a full scholarship covering living costs from sources other than the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship.
Non-EU/EEA passport holders:
€4500 per semester, including AON ICS Complete Health Insurance (€18.000 for the entire programme).
Non-EU/EEA nationals can not apply for the Consortium Waiver.
Erasmus Mundus Scholarship Holders
For Erasmus Mundus scholarship holders, regardless of nationality, all participation fees are waived as part of the scholarship.
